Manufacturers Aleo Solar now also produce their high-performance modules X59 and X79 in a version with 48 cells. Thanks to Perc cells and five busbars, the X55 achieves an output of 240 to 250 watts and an efficiency of 18 to 18.8 percent. Aleo also offer a completely black version: The X75 delivers 235 to 245 watts with an efficiency of 17.6 to 18.4 percent.
The two 48-cell modules measure 1,345 by 990 by 42 millimetres and weigh only 15 kilograms. This makes them easier to handle. They can be mounted both longitudinally and transversely. The new modules can be combined with Aleo's matching 60-cell modules. This allows a better use of small roof areas as well as roofs with gables or Velux windows.
According to the manufacturer, all X-series modules have performed excellently in internal and external pressure load tests. They have passed tests for ammonia, salt spray and PID resistance and are certified according to IEC standards. (mfo)
