PV finances dairy farm's asbestos roof renovation

In just four weeks, Berlin-based photovoltaic specialists Kintlein & Ose completed an 8500m² roof renovation on an industrial-scale German dairy farm, along with the installation of a 1.5 MW photovoltaic system using LONGi solar modules.

The Maasvlakte project will be built on the roofs of the DHG Smartlog Maasvlakte logistics complex located directly on the port area of Rotterdam.

Smartlog Maasvlakte, close to Rotterdam, covers the area of ten roofs of the logistics company DHG. Goldbeck Solar is building this solar power plant, which will have an installed capacity of 25 MW, for the customer Sunrock.

Germany: Integrated large-scale PV project on organic farm

Steag Solar Energy Solutions GmbH (Sens) is realizing a large-scale solar project on an organic farm in the Lake Constance district/Germany consisting of a ground-mounted PV system, two roof-mounted systems and a large-scale storage facility for intermediate storage of the green electricity generated.

Including the rooftop solar goal, the RePower EU strategy sets out 420 GW of additional EU solar capacity by 2030, bringing total solar installation in the EU to 565 GW.
