Testing at the Institute for Solar Energy Research (ISFH) in Hamelin, Germany, has confirmed that the conversion efficiency of N-type monocrystalline bifacial TopCon cells developed at Longi’s cell R&D center has reached 25.09%.

The record-breaking mono-crystalline silicon solar cell was fabricated on a high quality, low defect CZ mono-Si substrate.

Q Cells to invest heavily into its German R&D headquarters over next three years

Over the coming three years, Q Cells will invest around 125 million euros in its research & development site in Thalheim near Bitterfeld-Wolfen in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Next to a yearly R&D expenditure of around 35 million euros, an additional investment of more than 20 million euros will flow into new equipment and machinery.
