Large-scale battery storage for a stable Latvian power grid

Rolls-Royce has received an order from the Latvian transmission system operator Augstsprieguma tikls (AST) to supply a large-scale mtu battery storage system to secure the Latvian power grid. Together with the other Baltic states, the country will synchronize its energy supply system with the continental European power grid in 2025.

With the acquisition of the Latvian PV wholesaler ProElektro, BayWa r.e. is also expanding its pan-European PV trading business into the Baltic States. Further locations in the neighboring countries of Estonia and Lithuania are to follow in order to further expand the business in Eastern Europe.

The Futuras are all equipped with camera systems and destination indicators as well as being optimised to carry a maximum number of passengers.
