Stable operation of a 100 MW retrofit project in Egypt

Sungrow announced that a 100 MW retrofit PV project with 1500Vdc central inverter solutions has been operational for 12 months in Benban Solar Park, Egypt. Reportedly the largest retrofit PV undertaking in the MENA region, the project boosts the performance of the existing asset for customers.
Once commissioned, the project will cut the mine’s diesel consumption by approximately 20 to 22 million liters per year and thus offset between 53,000 and 60,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.

Sungrow signed an inverter supply contract for the 200 MW Kom Ombo project in Egypt, located within a desert area of Kom Ombo town in the Aswan Governorate of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Around 30 kilometres southwest of the port city of Marsa Alam, juwi will build the world's largest off-grid hybrid project in the mining industry with a solar farm and battery storage.
