The Clusterbox automatically manages charging across all connected units, processes grid signals and distributes power to each storage module. This modular system can be set up as either an AC or DC hybrid in combination with a Solarwatt inverter. The battery charges quickly at a 1C rate and discharges energy efficiently when required.
The system also provides backup power: In grid replacement mode, a cluster of up to four storage units, each with 18.2 kilowatt-hours of capacity, for a total of 73 kilowatt-hours, can supply electricity to homes or businesses.
System control and optimisation are handled by the manufacturer’s Manager, which can also integrate a heat pump if needed. The EMS also gives customers access to a dynamic electricity tariff. (nhp)
