Home storage:

Strong double strings for home storage

As of October 2021, new domestic power plants will be approved for a DC current of 27 amps per tracker. The storage systems thus flexibly enable an enormous bandwidth on private house roofs. And this is also possible with future generations of particularly high-current solar modules.

There are limits to the number of modules in a string, so so-called double strings make the installation partners very flexible. The inverters in the home power plant are designed in such a way that each MPP tracker can also accommodate the doubled maximum module current.

Another advantage: with the PV Plus concept, systems that in the past often remained limited to less than ten kilowatts because of the EEG levy can be expanded easily and without changes to the power electronics - to 20 kilowatts and more. (mfo)
