Solar modules:

Trina Solar delivers first Vertex 670W modules in Germany

Trina Solar developed the Vertex 670W solar module to minimise the LCOE in large-scale projects and it has been very well received in the European market. The series features all the signature Vertex technologies such as 210mm multi-busbar interconnection technology with minimised cell spacing and non-destructive cell cutting. Their innovative design results in reduced module voltages and increases the output per string by up to 34%. This can reduce investment costs by 7% compared to previous 455W module generations, according to a recently published study by Fraunhofer ISE. The potential of the Vertex 670 can be fully exploited by combining this ultra-high-power module with single-axis tracking systems, especially in its bifacial version with double-glass technology.

Trina Solar's integrated transportation solution for 600W+ solar modules is based on vertical portrait packaging to maximise the use of ocean freight container space, which can reduce logistics costs and reduce the carbon footprint for transportation by up to 8%. Installation costs can be reduced by 5-7%, which also brings overall down electricity generation and investment costs. (mfo)
