Spain: BayWa r.e. sells 109 MW solar park to Encavis

The transaction marks another chapter in the long-standing partnership between the two companies, which are jointly driving forward the energy transition and realising solar and wind projects across Europe.

The Lirios solar park will be built 35 kilometres west of Seville and is scheduled to go into operation in the second half of 2025. With a production of 220 gigawatt hours per year, it will cover the electricity needs of around 60,000 Spanish households.

Already finalised several large project sales in Europe

In the past year, BayWa r.e. has already finalised several large project sales in Europe and worldwide. These include a 520 MW solar project in the US, a 50 MW solar project in Japan, a 112 MW solar park in Australia and a further 200 MW of projects in Europe. The project pipeline of wind, solar and battery storage projects totals 30 GW worldwide. (hcn)
