The solar strips replace conventional privacy slats by generating energy on the vertical surfaces of garden fences. With solar cells on both sides, they produce significantly more energy than standard modules. Sunbooster offers the monocrystalline modules in six complete sets starting at 372 watts, including inverters and cabling.
The sets are modular and can be extended to cover several metres of fence. A 100-metre fence can generate over 18 kilowatts of solar power, yielding around 22 megawatt hours annually. According to the manufacturer, acquisition costs are just a third of those for conventional solar fences. (nhp)
