Longi targets rooftop safety with new fire-resistant module

The Hi-Mo X10 is based on Hybrid Passivated Back Contact (HPBC) 2.0 cell technology with 108 half-cells and a power range of 580 to 630 watts. The fire protection architecture integrates several layers: a honeycomb-shaped current diversion structure limits hotspots, while reinforced junction box sealing reduces the risk of arc faults.

Encapsulation and junction box components are made from flame-retardant materials. In internal laboratory tests, Longi subjected the module to flame temperatures approaching 1,000 °C for up to 1.5 hours, without structural burn-through, according to the company. The module has been awarded TÜV Rheinland fire protection class A. Longi offers a 30-year product and performance warranty. (nhp)
