Heating systems with fuel cells

The new generation of heaters with fuel cells already has a service life of at least 80,000 operating hours and five-year maintenance intervals. The Vitovalor PT2 from Viessmann with a DHW cylinder is available with gas condensing peak-load boilers from 11.4 to 30.8 kilowatts. This allows a wide range of possible applications both in new single-family homes and semi-detached houses as well as for existing buildings.

The appliance consists of two units: the fuel cell developed by Panasonic and the Viessmann gas condensing boiler module. With the Vitovalor PA2, the family business from Allendorf an der Eder is also presenting a fuel cell module for retrofitting. This solution is suitable, for example, for systems that already have a modern gas condensing boiler. For the operation of the Vitovalor PT2, a gas supply is required. (mfo)
