Askoma – broad range of integrated electric heating solutions

The Asko Heat Plus is a product line of screw‑in heaters available in various power ratings, with either stepless or multi‑stage controls. They are designed for straightforward installation in hygiene, buffer or potable water storage tanks. In 2024, Askoma introduced the Asko Heat Plus 2.0.

The company has also updated its Asko Heat OP series. These devices are used with power controllers such as the Ohmpilot from Fronius or the AC Thor from My PV, enabling surplus rooftop solar electricity to be converted directly into heat.

Closer control at maximum temperature

The heating rods in the 7.5 and 9 kilowatt classes now feature a square housing. According to the company, the change addresses the long operating times and heat build-up typical when the rods are used with large solar arrays and buffer tanks. The square design dissipates excess heat more effectively than round versions, allowing the thermostat’s natural switching differential to regulate temperature more precisely at the chosen setpoint. This ensures that the maximum temperature is reached and a higher share of solar power is utilised.

Direct transfer of solar power to hot water

The Asko Wall Plus is a ready-to-connect wall console for heating rod control. With this unit, users can charge the buffer tank to a defined minimum temperature. Water circulates within the Asko Wall until this threshold is reached, and only then is it transferred to the buffer tank.

Askoma’s portfolio also includes the Asko Heat DC, which connects directly to PV modules without the need for an inverter, making it well suited to balcony systems. The Asko Heat SZ raises return temperatures in circulation lines, ensuring compliance with potable water hygiene standards.
