Varista are presenting a roof hook that ensures significantly faster installation by eliminating the need for flexing the tile.

Until now, it was almost impossible to install a roof hook in such a way that it did not void the roofing contractor's warranty. See here why that is about to change:

Varista has developed a roof hook that remedies this deficiency in conjunction with metal roof panels from the company Marzari Technik from Leutkirch. In addition to the legal security provided by the integrity of the tiles, the new system shortens the installation time by a third because no more tiles have to be machined, explains manufacturer Varista. The 20-centimetre-long hooks have been reduced from eight to six millimetres in thickness, and their shape has been revised. The result: a roof hook that ensures significantly faster installation by eliminating the need for flexing the tile. (mfo)
