Ingeteam powers 100 MW hybrid energy project in Victoria

Once operational in 2027, the installation will have an estimated annual production capacity of 227 GWh of clean energy, generated across 256 hectares. Winton North will be developed in two phases: the first stage will feature a 100 MW solar farm, followed by a 100 MW, two-hour battery energy storage system (BESS) in the second phase.

Ingeteam will supply its Plug-and-Play medium-voltage power stations, which integrate inverters, LV/MV transformers, MV switchgear and an auxiliary services panel. In addition, the scope of supply covers the commissioning of all equipment and the hybrid plant control system (Multi Plant Controller), designed to help the grid operator manage the performance of both power plants and ensure the quality and stability of power supply at the interconnection point.

Since 2010, Ingeteam has operated in North Wollongong and now holds a solar market share of around 25 percent in Australia. The company has established itself as a technology partner for plant developers, supporting them in meeting the demanding technical requirements for grid connection. (hcn)
