DPE confirmed as co-event at KEY 2026

As renewables expand and the energy transition gathers pace, global energy dynamics are shifting. The production, distribution and use of electricity, together with the need to ensure continuity of supply, are evolving rapidly. The integration of variable sources, rising digitalisation and the imperative to optimise power flows for greater network flexibility and supply security are driving urgent infrastructure and technology upgrades across the electricity sector.

KEY 2026 – advancing new investment models

To meet the demands of this rapidly expanding field and reinforce Italy’s position as a technological hub for the energy transition, the DPE – International Electricity Expo will return to Rimini Expo Centre from 4 to 6 March. Organised by Italian Exhibition Group in collaboration with Generazione Distribuita – Engines, Components, Generating Sets, part of ANIMA Confindustria, and the ANIE Federation, which within the Confindustria system represents companies across the electrotechnical and electronics supply chain as well as general industrial contractors, the event will bring together key industry stakeholders.

Highlighting the technology supply chain

DPE 2026 will run alongside KEY – The Energy Transition Expo, underlining the close link between distributed generation and renewable sources and engaging the full solutions and technology supply chain supporting the green transition. The combined format provides a comprehensive, integrated platform spanning sustainable energy production, transport and distribution. It will offer a setting for discussion, networking, knowledge exchange and the presentation of advanced solutions, including dedicated workshops. Among the highlights is “Energy infrastructure for growth – Prospects, enabling technologies, critical issues”, organised by ANIE and Generazione Distribuita. The session will take place on Thursday, 5 March at 16:15 in the Energy Distribution Arena, hall A5.

The expo will showcase national and European expertise in electrical hardware, with exhibits ranging from generator sets, industrial engines, light towers, static and dynamic UPS systems, alternators and transformers to storage, conversion and power factor correction systems, control panels, LV and MV equipment and switchboards. Cables and distribution systems will feature alongside mechanical, electrical and electronic components, as well as companies providing engineering and technical consultancy services. The exhibition will also attract designers, installers, electrical materials distributors, O&M providers, utilities, EPC contractors, ESCos, maintenance professionals and rental companies. (hcn)
