Trinasolar will serve as a key partner in the investment and development of the project, providing specialised consulting services to ensure high-quality implementation. This partnership strengthens collaborative opportunities and strategic ties between China and Europe in green manufacturing. The agreement builds on the technical partnership established over the summer, granting HoloSolis access to Trinasolar’s advanced TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) solar cell technology.
HoloSolis raises over €220 million for 5 GW plant
The HoloSolis photovoltaic manufacturing project in France for cells and modules is a flagship initiative within the EU’s green manufacturing programme. With a total investment of nearly €1 billion, the facility is expected to create around 2,000 direct jobs. Designed for an annual production capacity of 5 GW, it will manufacture approximately 10 million photovoltaic modules per year – enough to supply clean energy to about one million households. Recognised by the French government as a “Project of National Interest” and given priority support, the initiative carries considerable strategic weight: it will strengthen Sino-European cooperation in green industry, enhance Europe’s domestic photovoltaic manufacturing capabilities and drive the regional energy transition.
