EnergyDecentral:

Register for trade fair for sustainable energy supply in agriculture

EnergyDecentral will take place from 15 to 18 November 2022 in Hanover together with the livestock trade fair EuroTier. The German Agricultural Society (DLG) as organiser expects 160,000 visitors from all over the world in the exhibition halls. The fair will be accompanied by a specialist forum where farmers can also find out about the latest possibilities for self-supply with solar power and its advantages.

Registration is in full swing

At the fair, suppliers of photovoltaic systems and storage units will also show their solutions for agriculture. Interested companies can already register as exhibitors. There is great interest in concepts for the self-sufficiency of farms and in solutions for the dual use of land. More and more farmers are looking to reduce their operating costs by generating their own solar power or creating a second source of income.

Innovations in the competition

In addition, the DLG also awards prizes for outstanding solutions relating to the supply of green electricity to farms. This year, awards will actually be given to new concepts that are not yet available on the market, but are promising alternatives for supplying energy to farms. "A certain basis should already be in place," says Markus Vagt, EnergyDecentral project manager at DLG, with regard to the development status of such new systems. "But it should also be possible to see a possible implementation of the developments." You can still submit your solution or project until 31 July 2022. The winners will be announced at the pre-press conference, which will take place in mid-September.
