EuPD has calculated that the German market share for 2019 was 19 per cent.

The combination of high system efficiency and safety with the modular system design has made the BYD Battery-Box one of the most popular storage systems in many markets. EuPD calculated a market share of 19 per cent in Germany for the year 2019.

The TÜV Rheinland tests energy storage systems for their qualification with regard to both the VDE standard and its own 2Pfg 2511 standard. Put together, the two certifications are considered the world's first comprehensive assessment standard for energy storage systems.

The VDE standard specifies strict technical requirements and test conditions for energy storage systems with regard to system and battery safety, energy management, warehousing, transport, installation, operation and maintenance. (mfo)
