The Turkish PV market may grow to 800 MW or one GW this year. Schletter and Tegnatia have continued their successful cooperation. Together they provided and set up the modular two-support steel system FS 2V Duo for Tegnatia’s latest project.

The solar modules were provided by Jinko Solar and SMA Solar Technology AG supplied the inverters. The project that included three ground-mounted solar plants in Mersin Gülnar (5.5 MW), Osmaniye (3.2 MW) and Konya (8 MW) turned out to be a real challenge for everybody involved.

Stony soil and heavy snow

Among other difficulties, stony soil and snowfall had to be considered both in the planning and in the execution of the project, but the project team found the right solutions. Now three structurally safe ground-mounted solar plants provide clean solar power in the Turkish provinces of Mersin, Osmaniye and Konya.

Turk-Greek Joint Venture

Tegnatia is a joint venture of the company T-Dinamik Energy (Turkey) and the Greek Enatia group which makes it one of Europe’s leading EPC contractors. Tegnatia has already cooperated with Schletter in the past. Schletter is confident that its partner in Turkey will keep on promoting the expansion of renewable energies. (HS)
