pv Guided Tours 2019: Mounting systems for modern applications

The trend for both flat and pitched roofs is towards pre-assembled components that can be quickly combined into larger systems. There is also still considerable potential in the ground-mounted segment to reduce installation costs through innovations. The mounting systems also perform a number of additional functions. For example, fall arresters or cable ducts are often already integrated into the profiles. This can also save the installer a lot of time – and eliminate many potential sources of error on the roof.

Because the prices for solar modules and the power electronics have continued to fall, assembly costs are gaining increasing importance. Roof, façade or ground installation accounts for a significant proportion of labour costs.

Our tour guide is Manfred Gorgus of Solar Professionell from Tutzing/Germany.

Each of the tours has a specific topic and the number of participants is limited. Participation is free of charge. The tours will be offered in German on all three days of the trade fair (15-17 May 2019) and in English on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The groups will be led by an expert editor. Product managers, engineers and sales experts will be on hand at the stands of the cooperating companies to present the innovations and answer the participants' questions. Each tour lasts about two hours and will start at the photovoltaik und pv Europe stand in Hall B1, Stand 209/309.

Participation is subject to prior registration. Registration includes free access to the four trade fairs that make up The smarter E Europe. Headsets are available for the guided tours. (HS/mfo)
