Intersolar/ees Europe: impressive showcase for storage development – pv Guided Tours for Experts attract international interest

Storage and self-consumption are the buzz trends. This became obvious at day one of ees Europe/Intersolar Europe. Experts from all over the world followed the pv guided tours for experts about energy storage to see and discuss about innovations of leading companies.

213 out of around 1000 exhibiting companies at Intersolar showcased storage solutions at the ees Europe. Already in the morning big crowds of visitors surrounded the booths. PV Europe with its pv Guided Tours for Experts offered the opportunity to talk to experienced company representatives from selected leading companies in the commercial and residential storage sector. Among them Sonnen, Varta, ads-tech, E3/DC, Solarwatt, SolarWorld,Viessmann, SMA, Fenecon, Tesvolt, Energy Depot and Siemens. Experts from Turkey, Lebanon, France, Peru, Paraguay, Pakistan, France, Spain and Italy joined the first tours.

Lower costs, higher performance and better system integration

It became obvious that better system integration, more flexibility, new applications, higher performance and reliability and lower costs are the big trends. According to BSW-Solar the costs of home storage systems declined within the last 24 months by 30 percent.

ADS-Tech for example presented its new StoraXe® Home & Small Business portfolio for apartment buildings as well as small companies and public institutions from 8.7 kWh to 28 kWh with a three-phase inverter. FENECON presented ist „price breaker“ FENECON Mini, FENECON Commercial und the modular battery system BYD B-Box as the electric car BYD e6 with its vehicle-to-load-function. SMA showcased its AC main distribution unit for Sunny Island systems allows off-grid and hybrid systems in the power ranges of 20 to 300 kW. E3/DC presented new self-sufficient systems like home power station S 10E. (HCN)
