Two out of three Spanish municipalities now offer tax reductions for installing photovoltaic self-consumption systems. The number has grown steadily in recent years as local governments move to support solar uptake.

Spain: solar self-consumption falls short of government targets

Self-consumption from photovoltaic systems is clearly lagging behind the statutory targets. This is confirmed by a recent report by APPA Renovables. According to the industry association, the regulatory authority urgently needs to take measures to promote self-consumption again.
