New charging options for BYD ADL electric buses

BYD UK and Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL) jointly confirmed yesterday that their electric vehicle partnership, the UK’s leading electric bus producer, is adding operational flexibility to its British-built electric buses with the introduction of additional charging options.

Electric bus chassis assembly will take place in ADL’s facilities with on-the-ground support from the BYD team, and is planned to commence in the second half of 2021.

Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL) and BYD Europe jointly announced today that their electric vehicle partnership, the UK’s leading electric bus producer, has supplied the first of 29 BYD ADL Enviro400EV double-deckers to National Express West Midlands, where they are charged entirely by renewable energy and utilise a stationery battery system to balance the load on the electricity grid.
