Axpo and Messer sign PPA for solar power from Südwerk

Axpo and German industrial gas specialist Messer have concluded a long-term PPA. From 1 January 2024, Axpo will supply two Messer facilities in Germany with electricity produced by Südwerk solar plants based in Bavaria.

At the Webasto plant in Schierling, Bavaria, a significant part of the energy demand is now covered by a photovoltaic system. A total of 1,998 solar modules have been installed on the roofs of the production halls in the last two months. They have an output of around 750 kilowatts.

The solar company Anumar based in Ingolstadt and Statkraft, Europe's largest producer of renewable energy, have closed a long-term power purchase agreement for 50 MWp from the Schornhof solar park near Ingolstadt in Bavaria.
