Energy sources that previously fluctuated can now operate according to demand, as generation-dependent feed-in transforms into the market-aligned availability of wind and solar power.
Market-aligned availability
Electricity storage systems are not limited to feed-in operations alone, drawing power from the grid during periods of oversupply and low prices and supplying it during phases of higher prices.
Energy trading is entering a whole new dimension as a result, with electricity storage systems in many locations becoming economically viable simply by leveraging dynamic tariffs and grid charges.
Combining them with solar installations further enhances the economic impact, while also increasing the resilience of the supply system, as a multitude of decentralised, intelligent players are harder to compromise than large, centralised units.
