Delivered for LSG, the utility-scale system is the first European deployment of Trina Storage's integrated DC+AC architecture, combining 32 Elementa 2 Pro battery units with four Electra AC units. The Elementa 2 Pro is a liquid-cooled system built with 314 Ah cells and a container-level capacity of 5.015 MWh. The Electra unit integrates power conversion and medium-voltage step-up on the AC side, simplifying grid connection.

The project is intended to support ancillary services, wholesale market arbitrage, load balancing and renewable integration, contributing to grid flexibility as Romania expands its renewable capacity. Demand for grid-balancing infrastructure is rising across Southeast Europe as renewable deployment accelerates.
"The successful delivery of the Gamma project represents another important milestone for Trina Storage in Europe," said Gabriele Buccini, Head of Trina Storage Europe, pointing to growing demand for integrated cell-to-AC storage solutions. Gerhard Lipkovich, CEO of LSG Building Solutions SRL, Romania, said the collaboration would support renewable integration and grid resilience in the region. (hcn)
