Latest GSE mounting marks density boost for east–west PV

The Ground System Evolution eliminates the need for concrete foundations and avoids deep excavation, making installation less invasive. Fully reversible, it allows the site to be restored to its original condition once the project ends. According to GSE, this flexibility provides a clear advantage in tender processes and permitting procedures.

The structure is built from prefabricated galvanised steel and is designed to halve installation time compared to the previous version. According to GSE, no special training or certification is required for assembly. The system is compatible with standard module formats and is rated for wind zones in categories II to IV.

The system offers a variable tilt between five and forty degrees, adjustable in seven increments to suit specific site needs. It is designed for both south-facing and east–west installations. In east–west configuration, GSE reports that up to twice as many modules can be installed per hectare. (nhp)
