Econergy Renewable Energy has confirmed Apple as the offtaker for its first virtual power purchase agreement (vPPA), covering 75 percent of generation from the Resko solar plant in north-western Poland. The 19-year contract, signed in 2024, enabled Econergy to secure €33 million in senior debt financing from PKO BP, one of the region’s largest banks.

Resko solar plant to cut 9,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually
The Resko facility is scheduled to begin operations by the end of 2025 and is expected to generate enough renewable electricity to supply around 27,000 households, avoiding almost 9,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year. The project supports Poland’s national goal of producing 50 percent of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030.

Econergy’s first Polish solar project is part of 2.5 GW pipeline
Resko is Econergy’s first operational solar project in Poland and forms part of a 2.5 GW development pipeline nationwide, combining photovoltaic and energy storage assets. Econergy, headquartered in Europe and listed on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, operates as an independent power producer with several gigawatts of solar plants under development across key European markets.
