Fronius with two prestigious prizes

The smarter E AWARD is presented by the international innovation platform for energy solutions and forward-looking projects and business models. The Fronius Solhub won in the category ‘Smart Renewable Energy’ thanks to its modular construction, flexible scalability and because it is ready for action at any time. It is the perfect refuelling station for ecologically produced, ‘green’ hydrogen, in particular for heavy-goods and long-distance transport as well as for industrial use. Companies, municipalities and other organisations can produce their own green hydrogen from solar and wind power and power their vehicles using fuel cells without producing any emissions.

The unique and versatile Fronius Symo GEN24 Plus also won one of the most important international prizes in the solar industry in the form of the Intersolar AWARD 2020. This hybrid inverter is the compact solution for solar self-sufficiency and represents a key element of integration with storage, backup power, heating and e-mobility. The panel of the world’s leading trade fair for the solar industry praised the innovative active cooling system, the peak efficiency thanks to the combination of the PV system and home storage and the high AC output power. With its Multi Flow Technology this inverter guarantees that loads will continue to be supplied with energy in the event of a power outage and that the batteries will continue to be charged at the same time. This ensures a long-lasting backup power supply and guarantees improved self-sufficiency. The system’s design, simple maintenance and easy part replacement also impressed the panel.

Big step for 24 hours of sun

As the winner of the Intersolar AWARD and The smarter E AWARD for the versatile Symo GEN24 and the Solhub respectively, Fronius was the only company to walk away from the ceremony with two important awards. “We are delighted that we were able to impress the specialist panel with our latest solar solution and our innovative hydrogen refuelling station. Each is a compact solution for storing renewable energy in an efficient manner and to bring it to the heating, cooling and mobility sectors. We have thus made a big step in the direction of 24 hours of sun”, says Martin Hackl, Global Director Solar Energy at Fronius International. (hcn)
