CCL-Trina Solar

Framework agreement for 1.2 GW of PV modules

The agreement, announced at the Solar Solutions exhibition in Amsterdam, is expected to open up new growth opportunities for PV installers across Europe and cements the long-standing partnership between the two companies. The duration and volume of the agreement emphasise the sustainable market growth expected by both parties for PV systems on residential and commercial roofs in Europe.

Specifically, thanks to the agreement, CCL customers will be among the first to receive the newly launched Vertex S+ 505W n-type double-glass modules from Trina Solar. As part of the brand new Vertex S+ series, the 505W modules are designed to increase the profitability of commercial rooftop installations by offering higher performance, extremely low degradation rates and lower BoS costs compared to p-type modules. For added peace of mind, all Vertex S+ Series modules come with an industry-leading 30-year performance warranty.

Improved planning certainty

Paul Brooks, Managing Director at CCL Energy Group, said: "Our framework agreement with Trina Solar represents an important milestone for CCL Energy and demonstrates our commitment to providing our customers with best-in-class products to meet their customers' changing needs and increase their profitability. Only supplying products from BNEF recognised Tier 1 manufacturers is crucial for us to maintain our reputation and expand our presence in the European market," he adds.

Euan Anson, Team Leader for Northern Europe at Trina Solar, comments: "We are delighted to announce the framework agreement with CCL Energy, which further cements the long-standing and highly successful strategic partnership between our two companies. Such an agreement provides both parties with improved planning certainty, which is particularly relevant in times of high market demand. We look forward to providing CCL Energy's many customers in Europe with even better access to Trina Solar's leading product portfolio." (hcn)
