Solar Investor’s Guide: Mounting on difficult ground
Floating-PV, agri-PV and solar parks
Roofs and flat open spaces aren't the only suitable locations for solar power. Applications that pose particular challenges for project planning and installation technology are increasingly coming into focus.
These include solar fields on pastureland and systems for the dual use of agricultural soil, known as agri-PV. Often, the terrain is uneven, or the soil is very soft or rocky. We present suitable solutions and systems for these applications.
Another important application is floating solar fields that utilize natural or artificial bodies of water. These are subject to special restrictions regarding water quality and environmental protection. Furthermore, the mounting systems must address dynamic challenges such as waves and gusts, as well as address specific corrosion protection requirements.
