The device delivers 3.5 kilowatts and can control an external heating rod rated at 3 kilowatts for a total output of up to 6.5 kilowatts.
Unlike previous models, tradespeople can install the heating element in the storage heater without an electrician, as it is initially supplied separately from the electronics unit.
The advantage of the new connection: the SonnenVPP virtual power plant bundles home storage units and integrates them into the energy market. The Sonnen home storage system serves as the intelligent control centre and can now also be networked with the Elwa 2 heating element.
