A bipolar hybrid passivation layer reduces current loss at both electrodes and provides protection against UV-related degradation. These innovations enable outputs of up to 670 watts with an efficiency of 24.8 percent. The module also delivers higher energy yields in shaded conditions – each cell functions as a bypass diode, reducing shading losses by up to 70 percent.
At the same time, the cell temperature drops by up to 28 percent, reducing the risk of hotspots and fire. The jury recognised Longi for a product that sets new benchmarks in performance, reliability and safety. (HS)
