Austria with ambitious goals for the next decades

In line with Austria's ambitious goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2040, hosting the EU PVSEC highlights the central role of photovoltaics here. Austria is aware of the importance of using solar energy through photovoltaic technology as a key measure to reduce CO2 emissions. In support of this initiative, various measures were implemented to accelerate the adoption of photovoltaics in the country via the Austrian Technology Platform Photovoltaics and other local institutions.

As an international conference for photovoltaic research, technologies and applications, the EU PVSEC continues to be a key event for shaping the future of solar energy. Concerning her appointment, Eder stated: "It is a great pleasure and challenge for me to serve as General Chair of the 41st EU PVSEC. This conference plays a crucial role in the further development of photovoltaic technologies and their integration into innovative applications.”

Call for Papers Open

In addition to the announcement, the EU PVSEC invites researchers, professionals and experts from around the world to be part of the event and contribute to the conference programme. The Call for Papers is now open and interested participants are encouraged to submit their abstracts by 2 February 2024. This is an exceptional opportunity for individuals to showcase their latest research findings, innovations and insights to a global audience, gaining the recognition they truly deserve.
