Megasol introduces new ultra-low glare module

With a power output of 450 watts and certified glare values, the module is particularly well suited for use at airports and in residential areas. The technology combines microstructured glass with a specialised surface treatment and matte finish. According to Megasol, the luminance of the M450 ranges from 3,000 to 9,000 candela per square metre, depending on the angle of incidence between 10 and 50 degrees.

This keeps the module well below the critical threshold of 20,000 candela per square metre, which applies to solar installations near airports. An independent glare assessment conducted by the Bern University of Applied Sciences is available upon request.

The M450 is designed as a glass-glass module and Megasol reports compliance with all fire safety requirements. It is certified to hail resistance class 5 – the highest rating available in the industry. Megasol offers a 30-year product and performance guarantee. (nhp)
