Innovative solar car arrives safely in Australia

In this race, 31 teams have to cover the 3,000 km distance from Darwin across the Australian outback to Adelaide using only solar power. The solar vehicle of the aCentauri Solar Racing Team was developed, built and tested by the students of ETH Zurich themselves.

Team manager Alexandr Ebnöther and his team are at the starting line and will test their solar challenger on several sections of the track in order to be optimally prepared for the race start on 22 October in Darwin. (mfo)
