Sungrow debuts high-power CDC1000E charging system

Sungrow introduced the next generation of its charging portfolio at the Charging Summit in Amsterdam with the 1+X megawatt charging system CDC1000E. This new solution, unveiled to industry leaders and stakeholders, features advanced cooling technology, intelligent energy management and a modular architecture, signalling a step forward in high-capacity EV charging.

The system boasts a lifespan of over ten years and uses an environmentally friendly, biodegradable cooling liquid. It meets IP55 and C5-M corrosion protection standards. With an adaptive voltage range from 150 to 1,000 VDC, as well as a range of authentication and payment options, the system offers both flexibility and accessibility.

Reactive power reguluation for stable grids

The CDC1000E offers more than charging alone; it also supports reactive power regulation to help stabilise the electricity grid. In addition, various service tools, dynamic power allocation and a silicon carbide power module deliver higher efficiency, faster switching and improved heat dissipation.
