Raycap will be showing off its broad surge protection portfolio at The smarter E Europe in Munich this month, with new and updated solutions spanning energy distribution, solar, DC applications and EV charging.
The prominent update is the ProTec 60 RX, an evolution of the ProTec 60 series extending compatibility to modern 60 mm busbar systems in both standard and insulated configurations. Designed for busbar heights of 12 to 30 mm and thicknesses of 5 and 10 mm, it covers TN-C, TN-S and TT network configurations and is available as Type 1 and Type 2 arresters, with or without integrated fusing. The plug-in design allows fast installation without additional tooling.
The smarter E Europe – innovations for project business
In the area of EV charging, Raycap is presenting its Strikesorb 35 series for high-power DC fast charging, alongside the ProTec T2 DCGU for DC fast-charge applications and the compact ProBloc EV T2 for AC wallbox installations. All are compliant with IEC 61643-41 and designed for EV applications under IEC 61851-23.
On the PV side, the ProTec PV boxes cover DC-side inverter protection in one-, two- and three-string configurations, with tool-free installation via MC4 or quick-connect interfaces. Raycap is also previewing protection solutions for future high-power PV applications at DC system voltages of 2,000 V and above, targeting utility-scale installations with rising string voltages and tighter demands on insulation and system reliability.
