BIPV:

Ertex Solar to implement joint BIPV projects with Pholtec

Ertex Solar, a manufacturer of customised solar modules based in Amstetten, Lower Austria, has found a new cooperation partner in Pholtec. Pholtec is a developer of roofing systems for terraces and carports, among other things, based in Schöngrabern, a community in the Weinviertel region of Lower Austria.

New sales channel opened

With the new cooperation, Ertex Solar gets another distribution channel for the modules from the production in Amstetten. This is because the company is pursuing the strategy of bringing its own products into facades or roofs through cooperation with sales partners from the building industry. Pholtec, on the other hand, has a module supplier in Ertex Solar who can manufacture the panels to fit the respective project.

Balcony railings and solar fences

Basically, overhead glazing for carports and terraces is a matter of cooperation. But Pholtec also offers its customers individually designed balcony railings with integrated solar modules and solar fences. Here, too, the modules from Ertex Solar can be used.

First project implemented

The two cooperation partners have already implemented their first joint project. It was a terrace roofing. The special challenge here was that eight of the 17 panels had to be produced in special formats in order to be able to continue the roofing of the terrace over the corner of the building. On the one hand, it was crucial that the design was not visually interrupted. On the other hand, the modules that cover the corner of the building should also supply electricity. Therefore, each of the eight panels was a special development in which Ertex Solar specialises. (su/mfo)
