From 1–3 July 2025, Conexio-PSE is organising this year's Agrivoltaics World Conference. Farmers will meet photovoltaics in Freiburg im Breisgau in southern Germany. The conference will focus on the additional use of agricultural land for the production of solar electricity.
Technology and yields take centre stage
The focus will not only be on the technical possibilities of combining agriculture with photovoltaics. The speakers will also present the latest findings on the effects the construction of solar systems has on agricultural yields. They will also look at ways of predicting these farming yields in combination with an agri PV system. In addition, conference participants will learn about the current regulations for agri-PV.
Experience agri-PV up close
To kick off the conference, participants will also have the opportunity to experience Agri-PV solutions up close. Conexio is organising three tours to different locations around Freiburg. A Scientific Tour will take attendees to the agri-PV test field in Merdingen and afterwards to a solar-roofed vineyard. The Fruity Tour takes participants to a solar canopy on a fruit plantation. The second station will be a solar test field to investigate the effects of photovoltaics on crop growth. The Vertical Tour shows various options for mounting solar modules vertically.
