The Korean module manufacturer LG has introduced a new bifacial solar module with transparent backsheet to the Intersolar. It gets up to 25 percent higher yield than one-faced modules. And SolarEdge from Israel was awarded by the Jury for the outstanding HD wave inverter technology. Innovations drive the costs down.

Lior Handelsman of SolarEdge was proud to get the Intersolar Award - the second after 2012.

LG Solar has got the Intersolar Award in the PV category for its new solar module LG Neon 2 BiFacial presented in the European market in April. The modules uses both sides of the panel to turn sunlight into usable electricity. The yield is between 10 and 30 percent higher than the one faced Neon 2 (300 watts), depending on the mounting situation. For further details read here.

SolarEdge was given the Award for its HD wave inverter technology that might change the inverter business fundamentally. The new inverter has no IGBTs anymore but low voltage mosfets. To get all the details about it, learn more here.
