Sungrow expands its presence in UK – over 320 MW inverters deployed

Chinese PV inverter manufacturer Sungrow is expanding its team in UK. The company plans also to support UK based developers and EPCs in emerging PV markets.

Sungrow presented its central inverter SG2000-MV as well as new string inverters SG36KTL-M and SG60KTL units at SEUK & Clean Energy Live 2016 last week in Birmingham/UK.

Last week the company presented its central and string inverters at SEUK & Clean Energy Live 2016 in Birmingham. The new inverters SG36KTL-M with inclusive string monitoring and the new SG60KTL, featuring 99 percent maximum efficiency were shown as well as the central turnkey inverter SG2000-MV.

Over 320 MW deployed in the region

Further news came today with the announcement that Sungrow UK is expanding its team. In the recent years, Sungrow has extended into the UK market, and now has over 320 MW deployed in the region. Sungrow has a local sales and service team in the UK consisting of experienced managers and professional service engineers. As well as supporting the home market in the future, Sungrow UK plans to support UK-based Developers and EPCs as they seek opportunities overseas in emerging PV markets.

UK still a major financial hub for renewables

“Sungrow’s is committed to the UK PV market and supporting those customers who plan to move into foreign ventures. The UK continues to be a major financial hub for the renewables industry, meaning that we at Sungrow must stay close to this market.” said Prof. Renxian Cao, President of Sungrow.

Last year Sungrow`s global inverters shipments totalled 8.9 GW. Global installed capacity exceeds 26 GW. (HCN)
