Hot solar events to go in 2017

The winter holidays are almost over, so it`s the right time to get ready for the most important solar trade shows and congresses in 2017. Again Intersolar Europe end of May in Munich is a obligatory date, but there are also some other relevant solar B2B events.

The top event in the solar calender 2017: Intersolar Europe and ees Europe in Munich, May 30-June 2.

A good place to make contacts with city utilities and energy providers is the E-World in Essen, that takes place February 6-9. A special focus this year is on international market developments and on innovations in the area of energy and water. Renewable energy, energy storage and Power2Heat play an increasingly important role at the trade fair and congress. Last year 650 exhibitors and 24.000 visitors joined the event.

Solar Power Summit in Brussels, March 7-8

Who wants to intensify European contacts and get insights into coming European solar policies should attend the Solar Power Summit, March 7-8 in Brussel. Organizing industry association Solar Power Europe is expecting over 300 high level policy makers, leading sector analysts, experts and key industry stakeholders to join the event.

Energy Storage Europe, March 14-16

Especially for German, Austrian and Swiss solar installers the 32. Symposium Photovoltaische Solarenergie in Bavaria is a place to meet. It takes place in the historic castle of Bad Staffelstein from March 8-10. Organizer Otti also invites to 6th Conference Power-to-Gas und Power-to-X für Europe's Energy Transition March 15. It is a side-event of Energy Storage Europe and the 11th IRES conference in Düsseldorf, that takes place March 14-16. A strong focus of the Expo and conference is on large-scale solutions and new business cases.

Silicon PV, April 3-5

April 3-5, Silicon PV 2017 takes place in Freiburg/Germany. The 7th International Conference on Silicon Photovoltaics will be hosted by Fraunhofer ISE, Europe’s largest solar energy research institute, and will focus on advanced technologies, materials and concepts for crystalline silicon solar cells and modules.

Solar Africa from Ethiopia to Tanzania

Who wants to expand business activities in Africa should think about attending the Solar Africa trade shows and conferences in different countries. April 11-13 Solar Africa 2017 takes place in Kenyatta/ Kenya, May 12-14 in Addis Abbaba/Ethiopia, July 12-14 in Kigali/Rwanda and August 16-18 in Mlimani/Tanzania.

pv Guided Tours at Intersolar Europe, May 30-June 2

The top industry meeting place will be Intersolar Europe 2017, that will take place in Munich from May 30 to June 2. More than 40,000 visitors and more than 1,200 exhibitors are expected by organizer Solar Promotion. Exhibition place is expected to expand by 17 percent compared to last year`s event, that includes ees Europe, Europe's largest exhibition for batteries and energy storage systems. pv Europe will organize again pv Guided Tours as a special service. pv Europe editors are also part of the jury for the reowned Intersolar and ees Awards. Companies and project owners are invited to submit their entries for the award from January 9 to March 17.

More Intersolars from Middle East to South America

The workshop Off-grid Solar Systems by Otti will take as a side event of Intersolar Europe on May 30 in Munich. Further Intersolar trade show and congresses will take place in North America (San Francisco) July 11-13, South America, (São Paulo, Brazil), August 22-24, Middle East ( Dubai, UAE) September 25-27 and India (Mumbai) December 5-7.  Already March 23, Intersolar Summit USA East will take place in Brooklyn, New York.

Conference on Solar Air Conditioning in Tarragona in September

A top networking event in Brussels at the longest day of the year will be Solar Powering Europe, June 21, 2017 (organizer Solar Power Europe). 7th International Conference on Solar Air-Conditioning - PV Driven/Solar Thermal will take place in Tarragona/Spain September 28-29, organized by Otti.
