UK – Goldbeck Solar breaks ground on new 48 MW park

The 63-hectare solar park will generate around 49,200 megawatt-hours of clean electricity per year. Biodiversity protection measures are integrated into the project design and implementation.

UK – East Yorkshire set for 400 MW solar boost

During construction, the birds’ breeding season will be taken into account to minimise disruption to local wildlife. After completion, the site will be renatured with extensive landscaping, including new tree planting and the sowing of green areas.

Bifacial solar modules in a special location

A total of 77,948 bifacial modules in three output classes and 126 inverters are installed to optimise energy yield. The bifacial design captures more sunlight, increasing electricity generation from the same footprint.

New-build homes in England must include solar from 2027

A key challenge for the project is its layout – the solar park spans multiple fields on both sides of a public motorway, requiring precise planning and coordination. Commissioning is planned for April 2026. (hcn)
