A strong finish to The smarter E Europe in Munich

For three days, 2,737 exhibitors from 57 countries presented their products, business models and solutions for a clean energy future. Around 107,000 trade visitors from 157 countries took the opportunity to network, forge partnerships and initiate new projects. Visitor numbers were fractionally under the previous year‘s figure of 110,000.

The smarter E Europe showcased solutions for the next phase of the energy transition

While the global expansion of renewable energies is in full swing, the challenge now is to make the energy system more flexible, digital and inclusive. “This year, The smarter E Europe was once again the blueprint for the climate-neutral energy world of the future,” said Markus Elsässer from organiser Solar Promotion. “Technologies and solutions are available. Now it's a matter of consistently continuing along this path.”

The future: from Tue to Thurs

Next year, the trade fair will take place from 23–25 June 2026, and for the first time well be from Tuesday to Thursday. Interest among exhibitors and visitors is expected to grow once again.

The sharp rise in hotel costs in Munich put something of a dampener on the atmosphere at the fair. Many visitors, in particular installers, were put off by the exorbitant prices, and reported either cancelling their trip to Munich altogether or reducing their stay. (hs/hcn)
