Kaco`s new bidirectional battery inverter

The battery inverter from Kaco reaches an efficiency of 98.5 percent. The scope of application for the new inverter is commercial and large-scale energy storage systems. It is compatible with both lithium-ion batteries and other commercially available battery types. The blueplanet gridsave 50.0 TL3-S can be operated in parallel on the DC side to connect several inverters to a single high-capacity battery.

The blueplanet gridsave 50.0 TL3-S is located between battery storage and grid. The installation can be carried out in outdoor areas thanks to protection class IP65. The battery inverter can be connected in parallel on the AC side, as well - in unlimited numbers. The grid can therefore be the public grid as well as the power supply of a small town or an industrial facility: The size of a decentralized battery storage with the blueplanet gridsave 50.0 TL3-S can be scaled up to the megawatt range.

The blueplanet gridsave 50.0 TL3-S is controlled by an external energy management system. The battery inverter communicates via Sunspec Modbus TCP for use with various energy management systems. This widely used interface allows the use of a large number of control systems. KACO new energy will exhibit its new battery inverter at the Energy Storage Europe in Düsseldorf from March 13-15, 2018: booth 8BB03. (nhp)
