The telecontroller WebRTU from EES makes it possible to use remote control technology via the LTE wireless standard.

The high availability of LTE mobile networks in both urban and rural areas is the basis for integrating devices with 4G modems into telecontrol controllers. The WebRTU displays the complete process image on the relevant device. The desired device can thus be accessed and dynamically visualized and controlled via a web interface. External devices are accessed and read out via an Ethernet interface using IP forwarding.

In addition to better network coverage, more logged data and reports can be transmitted per interval due to the greater bandwidth. Likewise, the protocol overhead for VPN, SSL encryption, is negligible for LTE connections. The new 4G variant replaces the previous versions at EES at no additional cost. (mfo)
