The news represents a 10-year upgrade on Panasonic’s previous product guarantee of 15 years and applies to all HIT modules installed from 2017. As part of the guarantee extension, Panasonic is introducing an online customer signup procedure, allowing the company to provide customers with a personalised guarantee certificate for their specific installation and solar system characteristics.
The extension comes during a special year for Panasonic celebrating 20 years of manufacturing solar module HIT. Since launching the HIT solar module series, the company has supplied over one billion cells worldwide and 18 million modules, providing consumers, businesses and institutions with clean, reliable solar energy.
