Outdoor energy storage system 

The Intensium Mini by French-owned Saft Batteries is a compact, robust outdoor energy storage unit for a wide range of energy and power combinations. It is suitable for renewable integration, industrial and commercial installations, utilities and micro-grid applications. Designed for medium-size energy storage projects ranging from 100 kilowatts to 1 megawatts, it can be used for peak power reduction, demand response, voltage control, capacity support, frequency regulation and spinning reserves, or a combination of these.

Intensium Mini is a fully integrated storage system made up of 56 Synerion battery modules and provides high operational reliability over thousands of cycles with excellent energy efficiency. Its modular design accommodates a wide range of energy capacities and different power-to-energy ratios suitable for cycle durations from minutes to several hours. It is suitable for applications ranging from 80 to 480 kilowatt hours in energy capacity and from 240 to 1720 kilowatts of power. The modular architecture permits high-energy as well as medium- and high-power configurations.

Low-maintenance

Quick and easy to install on site even in difficult and remote locations, the battery system is fully tested before delivery. It is. It is optimised for integration with most power conversion systems, with the option to supply power internally (BMS) and externally (PCS) when utility voltage is down.

The Intensium Mini requires very little maintenance and when it does, Saft Batteries provide a diagnostics tool to facilitate trouble shooting. The battery chemistry of lithium-ion is tried and tested and proven to have a long service life. The electrochemical properties, effective cooling and optimised system design result in a high degree of energy efficiency.
